• She is a  B.Com Graduate frm BMS collge for Women.
• Bharathi has represented our country at World Cross-country championship held at Italy 1996,Holland 2000 & Switzerland 2002.
• She also been part of winning Team at Indio – China & India-Srilanka Throwball Series
• Her father B.T LAKSHMAN being her coach started her training when she was jus 5yr old.
•  She won Silver in 7th Asian Cross-country championship at pune 2004.
• She is a National Record holder in 600mtr at 42nd National School Games in 1996.
• In 2004 she Created National Record in 3000mtr SteepleChase winning gold at Senior Open Nationals Mumbai & also won Gold at Federation cup at Delhi the same yr. 
• She has won more than 60 medals at National level in 800mtr,1500mtr, 3000mtr & also been Heptathlon Champion at Junior Nationals.
• Bharathi has been honored with KempeGowda Award, Rajyostava Award,Kreeda Ratna Award & Kalyanamma Award.
• in 2011 she won Runnerup title in a kannada TV Reality Show  called – ‘Pyate Mandi Kadige Bandru’ held at Andaman from suvarna Channel.
• Apart frm Sports Life .. shez also holds 15yrz of work experience with Dell international services & Tesco as Team Leader into Financial Services.
